Hey! I’m Andrea…but my friends and family call me Andie. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Utah with a Bachelors of Science degree in Dietetics and moved back to IDA-HOme (where I grew up) to complete my dietetic internship. Then I was finally able to take the RD exam and become an official Registered Dietitian! Since then I’ve moved to Utah and work as a clinical dietitian in the Cardiac ICU and Cardiac Medical Unit at the University of Utah Hospital. I recently finished my Master’s Degree at the University of Utah and am currently studying to take the exam to receive certification as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics in February (wish me luck!) 😉 I’ve always loved sports/fitness, nutrition and FOOD so it seems like a perfect fit!
A few years ago I started baking and I fell in LOVE with it. I even started my own home based baking business (Andie’s Cakes) and eventually it turned into…The Baking Dietitian! I’m passionate about healthy eating, exercising and healthy living but also letting yourself indulge once in a while with delicious treats because, believe me, I have quite the SERIOUS sweet tooth! It’s all about moderation and finding that HEALTHY and HAPPY balance!
