Skinny Shake offered to send me some of their protein powder to try and I was (of course) so excited! They sent me a super cute little tote bag filled with on-the-go little protein packets in chocolate and vanilla flavored protein powders. They’re perfect mixed with a banana, some nut butter/powdered nut butter and some milk or water. I love the little single-serving packets because if your’e in a rush you can just toss them in your bag and you’re good to go! If you don’t have time to make a full-on shake, just mix with water or milk and it’s still just as great!
Why is Skinny so great? Well…
The ingredients in Skinny Shakes are top notch! They contain:
- Whey isolate
- Pea protein
- Flax seed (dietary fiber!)
- Chia seeds
Another thing I love is that this protein powder is has lots of superfoods (like quinoa, blueberry, spinach and acai berry) that pack in so many nutritional benefits and it’s fairly low in calories to help you lose/maintain a healthy weight!
Taste? Well, you’re in luck here too because these shakes taste good. I’ll be honest, at first taste I wasn’t in love with the chocolate but I was in love with the vanilla. If you mix the chocolate with banana/pb thought it’s pretty good…this could also just be personal preference AND the more I’ve tried it…it’s growing on me! The vanilla and chocolate flavors are rich and delicious and they don’t have the weird “protein” taste you sometimes get with protein powders.
