So call me crazy but I don’t like pie. I know, what? How un-American am I? Well…I should say. I don’t like most pies. There is a special place in my heart for Mama Kay’s Black Bottom Banana Cream Pie. Otherwise, I’m not much of a pie fan, which is unfortunate since Thanksgiving is all about pie. Don’t you fret though, I’m usually able to find a way to sneak a couple other non-pie desserts into our Thanksgiving feast. However I am a fan of pecans and this pecan “pie” shake that I made using some more of the fantastic protein powder samples I received form mommi made this shake absolutely amazing and perfect for fall.
Shout out: Mommi protein powder is amazing. It packs in all the essential nutrients you need for pregnant and breastfeeding moms AND is incredibly nutritious and tasty even if you aren’t pregnant or breastfeeding…I’m not and I us it all. the. time. See my past post here on why it’s so great and enjoy this tasty shake. Happy Fall!

- 1 frozen banana
- 24 pecan halves (about 1/3 cup)
- 2/3 cup skim milk
- 2 tsp. almond butter
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- Dash of nutmeg
- 6-8 ice cubes
Put all ingredients into blender (save a few pecans for topping) and mix until desired consistency is reached. Then top with the remaining pecans and a dash of cinnamon. Drink up!
