I love eating healthy foods not because they “only have insert number of calories” but because I love the feeling of knowing I’m taking care of and nourishing my body. I love working out because it makes me feel good. I feel more energized and I feel happier. After all, Elle Woods did say “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands, they just don’t.” When you work out try to remember that it’s not about burning “x” number of calories or punishing yourself for that extra piece of cake you had last night. It’s about taking care of your body because it’s a precious gift….
